Earth Science: Rip Up Clasts

As the name suggest itself, clastic sediments are being "rip up" from the original depositional basin and being brought to close proximity to the basin. It is an example of intraformational type conglomerate ( if there're more sediments that surrounds the clast and lithify it ) or else it itself can be classified as oligomictic conglomerate (provided that the basin consists of thick layers of a type sediment)

Interesting and Intriguing at the same time...

Mudstone (dark) from a nearby basin being surrounded by coarse sandstone (brown)
